adidas adiPower Howard 2 Likely due in some part to his Orlando Magic’s disappointing first round loss in this year’s NBA Playoffs, we’ve not seen anything new regarding Dwight Howard’s adidas Basketball signature line in a few months here on Sneaker News.  But despite the early exit, D-12 seems intent on staying in O-Town, and here’s our first look at what he’ll be wearing during the second half of the season.

Nike LeBron 8 V2 – White – Black – Varsity Red

On November 29, 2010, in DWU, FASHION, SNEAKERS, STYLE, Syndicated, by SOURCE: SNEAKERNEWS.COM
Nike LeBron 8 V2 – White – Black – Varsity Red | Detailed Images LeBron James and the Miami Heat are certainly in dire need of a jolt of energy, coming off two straight losses – one coming off a buzzer-beater from Rudy Gay and the second a miserable Home loss to the Indiana Pacers. It could come in the form of the Nike LeBron 8 V2, a lighter package of the LeBron 8 featuring a featherweight shell with exposed Flywire with perforated mesh underneath it. Last season, the Nike LeBron VII P.S. offered the same lighter construction and modified fit to adjust to LeBron’s post-season play but unfortunately the results did not match the expectations. For this season, the second stage of his LeBron 8 signature will come a lot earlier – possibly by mid-season – as the wear and tear of the NBA season takes its toll on James’ physique. Take a look at this detailed gallery of the white, black, and varsity red colorway of the Nike LeBron 8 V2 and let us know if you think LeBron James will be the one hoisting an NBA Championship trophy over his head this June. via Rstor. Nike LeBron 8 V2 ‘Neon’ – New Teaser Pics

On November 28, 2010, in FASHION, SNEAKERS, STYLE, Syndicated, by SOURCE: SNEAKERNEWS.COM
VIA: SneakerNews Last week, DJ Clark Kent brought us our first look at a fresh new colorway of the Nike LeBron 8 that may or may not turn out to be this year’s Dunkman offering. We’ll have to wait for a full look at the shoe to find out if the Dunkman logo can be found, but either way, this new version of the LeBron 8 is sure to stir up some excitement. Now, we get another sneak peek at the upcoming colorway that may throw a wrench in the works for some of its initial admirers if it does turn out to be an altered retail version of the same shoe. As you can see from these pics, the outsole and Air bag appear to be white instead of the solid neon that really seemed to make the shoe pop when we first saw it. There also seem to be different materials on the upper and black laces, so perhaps this could be a look at a potential V2 version. This follow up look at the juicy new colorway comes courtesy of MarqueeSole’s SN Blog, and you know that means that they should be showing up at their online store soon, so hopefully, we’ll finally be able to answer some of the questions looming around this intriguing new release. Check out the new teasers and stay tuned for detailed pics coming soon. UPDATE: It was just pointed out by one of our readers that these do actually look to most likely be the black/grey version of the LeBron 8 V2 previewed earlier this month. Good eye Beavertron17. MIAMI (AP) — If the Miami Heat changing room was polled, LeBron James would not have unanimous support in the race for Time’s Person of the Year. James wouldn’t even vote for himself. Calling it “crazy” just to be on the list of finalists for the award, the NBA’s reigning two-time MVP seemed almost a bit embarrassed on Monday when he learned that he was one of the final 25 names under consideration. The winner of the award, bestowed since 1927 on a person or group who “has done the most to influence the events of the year,” is expected to be revealed next month. “I am who I am and I think I’m in a position of my life where I’m going to get better every day,” James said after Miami wrapped up its practice Monday. “But it’s too much.” Other finalists this year include President Barack Obama (the 2008 winner), Lady Gaga, Sarah Palin, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, conservative commentator Glenn Beck, Afghan President Hamid Karzai and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Also on the list: The trapped Chilean miners who spent more than two months underground before finally being reached and rescued in a gripping story that was covered worldwide. “T hat’s just crazy,” James said. “What those guys did, the courage and what they stood for, I should be nowhere near that list. Nowhere near it.” Charles Lindbergh was the first winner of the award. President Franklin D. Roosevelt is the only three-time winner, and most recent winners include Vladimir Putin in 2007, Obama in 2008 and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke in 2009.

Nike LeBron 8 ‘Blackout’ – Available in Europe

On November 11, 2010, in DWU, FASHION, SNEAKERS, STYLE, Syndicated, by SOURCE: SNEAKERNEWS.COM
Nike LeBron 8 ‘Blackout’ – Available in Europe Even Nike wasn’t sure where LeBron James would end up, so they mocked up a few colorways (Knicks, Mavericks) that ended up being scrapped once ‘The Decision’ was made. One colorway that would fit any city would the ‘Blackout‘ colorway, which features a black-on-black-on-black design pointing to no specific color. With the super-high tongue, carbon fiber panels, and Max Air unit, the Blackout LeBron 8 could very well be a ‘Dark Knight’ version for its cold demeanor and no bull-crap attitude it exudes. These aren’t slated for a stateside release until December 11th but are currently available at European retailers, so butter yourself up with these new images after the jump and let us know if these are a must-have for you. adidas TS Beast – Holiday 2010 Colorways | New Images

On November 6, 2010, in DWU, FASHION, SNEAKERS, STYLE, Syndicated, by SOURCE: SNEAKERNEWS.COM
adidas TS Beast – Holiday 2010 Colorways | New Images Whether he’s throwing down a mammoth two-handed dunk, swatting your feeble shot attempt into the seventh row, or serenading you alongside Slim Chin, Dwight Howard is one to grab your attention. The prep-to-pro star that is now drawing comparisons to Bill Russell, the greatest defensive center of all-time, has had the spotlight on him since he first landed in the NBA, and he’s taken every opportunity to show off his game and surprisingly extroverted personality. The adidas TS Beast is Dwight Howard newest signature shoe with his signature tweet-intro ‘Hey World!’ printed on the outer heel of the shoe. Both of these colorways are clear Home and Away joints, but adidas has some extra goodies up its sleeve, like a special Superman TS Beast colorway and another in silver, black, and neon green. Check out these new images of the adidas TS Beast and let us know what you think of the design. via ULT. Read the rest of adidas TS Beast – Holiday 2010 Colorways | New Images

Nike Air Max2 CB ’94 – Amare Stoudemire ‘STAT’ PE

On November 2, 2010, in FASHION, SNEAKERS, STYLE, Syndicated, by SOURCE: SNEAKERNEWS.COM
Nike Air Max2 CB 94 Amare Stoudemire STAT PE Amare Stoudemire was the first to get plucked from the massive Free Agent pool of this offseason, and making the switch from Phoenix, a relatively ‘small’ town, to the biggest sports stage in New York is a great opportunity to rejuvenate his signature line with Nike. During his days as a Sun and when the Nike Force STAT line was still a live project, Amare Stoudemire was the recipient of a number of great PEs in the form of a signature from a former Phoenix big-man, the soft-spoken and subdued Charles Barkley. There were a number of PE color-combos of the Air Max2 CB ’94 that consisted of any combination of white, orange, purple, black, and grey, like this grey/orange pair that fit the Phoenix Suns alternate jersey to a tee. It’s not very often that these pop up so check out this Air Max2 CB ’94 STAT PE after the jump and grab this size 11 pair from lacelocked on eBay. Nike LeBron 8 V2 ‘Christmas’ – Teaser Pics

On November 1, 2010, in DWU, FASHION, SNEAKERS, STYLE, Syndicated, by SOURCE: SNEAKERNEWS.COM
Nike LeBron 8 V2 Christmas Teaser Pics LeBron James is shaking things up this fall.  His Heat shook up the league then shook off their collective jitters and are on a three game winning streak, but we expected quite a few more before the King shed some shoe weight.  Pictured above is a teaser shot at the Nike LeBron VIII V.2 in what any kid in the world could tell you is a Christmas colorway.  Looks like Santa has more cookie crumbles up his sleeve, and it’s Marquee Sole delivering the gifts with a look at more speckles on a predominantly red design, much like the Air Max LeBron VII Christmas sample from last year.  Kinda like getting the best of both worlds, and doubled by combining a ‘lost’ colorway with what looks to be an early release of what we expected to be the playoff LeBrons.  This is an interesting development to be sure, so be sure to stick with Sneaker News for the latest on LeBron 8 V2 release dates.
